The Province of Saskatchewan and the City of Regina maintain vibrant cultural environments made up of professional and community organizations. The Department of Film at the University of Regina is located in the Faculty of Fine Arts, an environment of diverse artistic expression and study with close ties to the thriving arts and culture community in Saskatchewan's capital. Dedicated to teaching film, video and new media in an interdisciplinary environment that encourages growth in creative, critical and mainstream forms, the Department offers MFA and MA programs, a BFA degree in Film Production, and BA and BA Honours degrees in Film Studies.
The Department of Film invites applications for a term appointment in the area of film production at the rank of Lecturer to commence July 1, 2015. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate film production courses.
Applicants must hold an MFA or a terminal degree in a cognate field, possess post-secondary teaching experience and demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence. A creative portfolio in film production that reflects a background in one or more of the following is essential: fiction, experimental, documentary, animation, audio, new media, screenwriting. Feminist and/or community-based and/or Indigenous film practices will be considered an asset.
